Podcast Episode 55

Hey oh, swabbies! Welcome to another week and another Mickey Mutineers podcast! This week there is actually some more Star Wars news (and rumors.) I have a feeling that as the filming date gets closer, this will happen more. Also, Josh updates us on Big Thunder in Disneyland and Jake updates us on the 7 Dwarfs coaster in Magic Kingdom. And then we pit Matt and Tim against each other in a head-to-head battle in Disney Fact or Bullshit! Who will reign supreme?! Tune in and find out! Also of note, Josh is neither dead nor uncaring in this one. He was just working on technical problems during recording, none of which affected the audio quality, so don't worry. Also, we planned on diong the TripAdvisor Game of Shame this week but ran short on time, so look forward to that next week! Alright, that should do it! Let's get things rolling! You can listen on the player there on the right, unless you're on the mobile page! Unnecessarily Censored Frozen

Sometimes all we need is a good laugh. And I'll admit, this one did it for me. So I figured real quick, I would share it with you all. Enjoy!

Podcast Episode 54

Back to basics this week, and boy do we have a hilarious show for you! This week, we touch on the Magic Kingdom going full Fastpass+, some real vague news about the Seven Dwarves Mine Roller Coaster and then we get down to the real nitty gritty. Tim has an epic explosive rant about a certain living member of the Disney family. We talk some Oscars, and then we bring back a segment many thought we had left for dead. It's called Left for Dead. And then we find out how much Jake disliked the Living Seas at Epcot. And as always, we wrap it up with some listener questions. Hey! Enjoy the show! You can listen on the player there on the right, unless you're on the mobile page! Podcast Episode 53.6: The Listenable Version of Our One Year Show!

Holy crap, thanks to some freak accident, Dan (@beefydisney) from Annie & Danny's Fastpass Podcast (also one of three guests on this episode) seemed to record the episode from his end! And in the process ended up saving our asses! Don't listen to last week's pixelated smurf-sounding garbage! Listen to this one if you couldn't make it through that mess. Guests are Annie and Dan, and everyone's favorite safari tour guide, Safari Mike! So yeah, here it is. Huge, HUGE thanks to Dan for doing whatever he did and coming through for the Mutineers. LET'S DO THIS!!! You can listen on the player there on the right, unless you're on the mobile page! Podcast Episode 53

Wow! A two hour episode?! Now hold on, don't get too excited. As explained in the first of the episode, we recorded a whole episode with Safari Mike, Annie and Dan from Annie and Danny's Fastpass Podcast and played games and had the best time! But in typical Mutineers luck, something happened in the audio department and it sounds like butt. HOWEVER, the four of us Mutineers re-recorded a quick round of the listener questions from the night before in some good audio quality, and that's how we start the show. But I'm not one to just toss a good time, so we include the entire show with our guests as well!!! It's a crazy long Mickey Mutineers episode! We're ready to party with you, and laugh with you...and cry with you..... We made you some dream journals! Enjoy the show(s)!!  You can listen on the player there on the right, unless you're on the mobile page! Podcast Episode 52

Welcome back! We missed you. We feel safe with you. You have a gentle touch... what? Hey! This week, we rename our rumors segment to something that probably won't stick, but we go through some rumors anyway! A Frozen Maelstrom? A Boba Fett movie? Star Wars rumors resurfacing in Tomorrowland?! It's all here! And then we drag a segment from the blog into the podcast! Guess what it is! (Hint: It's Attraction Clashin'.) And then we wrap up the show with loads of listener-submitted content, because remember: if you give us enough attention, you get your own segment! Okay, that should do it for this week. You can listen on the player there on the right, unless you're on the mobile page! In that case, CLICK HERE, listen through iTunes, or use your favorite podcast app on your smartphone! If you use iTunes, please, rate and review us! Free high fives for anyone that does!

Rockin' to the Power of Three

How much do you love Rock 'n' Roller Coaster? A lot, right? RIGHT? Good. I like it too. It's fast, it's fun, it freakin' rocks to the sounds of a band that I'm pretty sure no one really cares about anymore. But still good! Still good...

I don't believe Los Angeles looks like this at all...

Now, if I were to ask you how many  Rock 'n' Roller Coasters there were in the world, what would you say? Most people would probably say two. Let's count them: One in Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, one in Disney Studios in Paris, and one in the Netherlands.

Wait. What? Let me do this math... Two Rock 'n' Roller Coasters, check. Hollywood Studios? Got it. Disney Studios? Yep. What the hell is this Netherlands garbage? I'll tell you what it is, ladies and germs. The roller coaster's manufacturer, Vekoma, built a third nearly-identical roller coaster at a park that is now called Walibi Holland, previously Six Flags Holland. And the roller coaster itself is called Xpress. (Pfft. Not really an inspired name.)

Xpress. Kinda like a naked Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
But what's awesome about this Xpress is that it's built completely outdoors. I'm not saying that's better than Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, because it's not. But what I like about it, is now I can watch the video on YouTube and get a pretty good idea of what's going on with the track when I am riding Rock 'n' Roller coaster.

Up until now, mu description of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster was something like this: "Okay, you sit there, staring at a black tunnel, nothing's happening. Nothing's happening. Nothing's haaaaOOLY CRAP WE'RE GOING FAST! Okay we went through a sea serpent inversion and now wrrrblglrglbblrjgllblrglb oh we went through a corkscrew and wrrbglghnbrglbrglblglr a donut wrrrblglbrglblrglbglbr and stop." But now, well, see for yourself:

And that's pretty much what's going on on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. I must say, it's not nearly as exciting being outside and no Aerosmith blasting in your ears, but it is fun to see what a Disney ride is like out of its element.

Podcast Episode 51

I swear one day we'll have a new blog post that isn't just a push for our podcast. But it is not this day! Anyway, ahoy and happy 2014, swabs! We have an episode for you, boy do we ever! This week we talk about some fruit-themed store coming to Disney Springs, Jake offers up his Just the Tip. Tim talks about a certain Disney video game that's sweeping the world. (Hint: it's Infinity.) And then we get down to the nitty gritty with our Top 12 (which turns out to be 9) Predictions for 2014. Of course, it's done Mutineers-style with a side of hash browns. So sit down, strap on, and prepare yourself for a rollicking episode to ring in the new year!
